High School Student Have you thought about your future? It’s a question you’ve likely heard a lot lately. And if you’re reading this, maybe you have. Maybe you’ve thought about a future full of endless possibilities. A future where you could set your own hours, get paid well, challenge yourself, and make a difference by helping others live happier, healthier lives. If you excel in sciences and find the human body fascinating, or enjoy working with people and are driven to succeed, you could be a candidate for the Family Medicine Program at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Manitoba. Family physicians are always in demand, so you can take your skills and practice almost anywhere in the world. You’ll also have the ability and the means to follow other interests outside the medical profession. Balancing your life will be entirely up to you. As a family physician, your future is in your hands. Discuss the idea with your science teacher, guidance counselor or ask your parents about becoming a family physician.
